Palestinian three year-old Farah Abu Halima with her aunt Suher in one scorched rooms in the Abu Halima home in the a-Sifa section of Beith Layiha, Gaza April 23,2009. Farah’s mother Ghada died of her wounds in an Egyptian hosptal on March 29,2009. Farah sustained severe burns and was also evacuated to Egypt for emergency medical together with her mother when the Abu Halima home was shelled on January 4,2009 during the Israeli military „Operation Cast Lead“ . Five of the Abu Halima family members were burned to death ..Fahar’s mother gave her testimony to B’Tselem, the Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories. In her testimony she described how she was holding her daughter Farah when her whole body caught on fire .She described in her testimony that she had taken all of her clothes off and still her body continued to burn .(Photo by Heidi Levine/Sipa Press).
